OUR HISTORY

It all started back in 2004, when our oldest son worked at the Shrimp Station restaurant in Waimea, which was under a different owner, during his senior year in high school.  Fast forward 2 years to 2006, we wanted something for our sons when they were still attending high school.  The restaurant provided them with after school employment, in which they learned how to work, how to be responsible, accountable, and earning their own money.  We are a family owned and operated business. We are locals, born and raised on the island Kaua'i and of Hawaiin ancestry.  In 2013 we ventured into opening our 2nd location in Kapa'a. Eleven years of success have come mainly from our team members, who work so hard to provide consistent quality food, outstanding customer service, and to share their aloha to our customers. We are committed to building and maintaining a strong customer relationship. Many customers who dine with us were recommended mainly by "word of mouth" and we have an obligation to meet the expectations of those who recommend us!  Word spreads fast when the food is great! 

The Shrimp Station was named in "THE OFFICIAL BEST OF HAWAII" in 2013, 2015, 2016 as "Best specialty shrimp"!  We also were nominated and placed in Hawaii's Fastest 50 in 2013 and 2014. We have also participated in the Kauai Independent Food Bank "Dine out for Hunger" for the past 8 year.
